Ideal Vacation

Have you ever been on a cruise? Well, if you haven’t you should consider going. It is very relaxing and soothing. I recently went on a mini vacation with my grandmother, sister and mother for four days. Our destination was Baja, Mexico. When boarding the cruise ship you already feel relaxed and calm because all you hear are the soothing sounds of the waves hitting the rocks and the seagulls flying. While cruising to Mexico there are many activities to do on board the ship. Such as swimming, gambling, basketball, dancing and last but not least eating. The food on the ship is amazing and it is served 24 hours. Can you imagine food whenever you want no charge? During my vacation I went in the Jacuzzi, ate and slept. It was very relaxing.
When the ship docked at our destination we were able to get off and take a shuttle to downtown Mexico. The ride into Mexico was not long at all and we had a hilarious tour guide. When we got off there were many shops around to buy gifts for family and friends. After walking around and looking at all the different shops in Mexico we decided to get back on the ship and relax .
Every night there is a dinner that you may or may not attend, it is your choice and there are a variety of delicious meals served. I enjoy the dinners because you sat with people that you may not know and it was a great way to interact with others on the ship . You were assigned tables when you bought your ticket for the cruise so it was no big shock on sitting with someone that you may not know. Along with meeting new people the food was awesome. This is one vacation that I will always remember !

Canceling Field Trips

Persuasive Writing Prompt #1 : Canceling All Field Trips

High school year is the biggest step being taken from a student that is graduating from junior high. If you were to cancel the field trips for the remainder of the year do you know how disappointed many students will be? Or think about all the rebellious things that would be conducted by the student body. You telling me that I won’t be able to go on any more field trips because of the financial aspect would be a joke. I mean there are many ways to fundraise and get donations from many different companies. If the financial aspect is the only reason why we are not allowed to go on any field trips then I say that the school needs to start a fundraising committee.
Parents would become involved if we sent home a letter asking for donations of water, candy , chips , juice , etc so that we can open a student store and start selling these items to have some money that we can use for different activities. Not only can we do things inside of school but also outside. Yard sales, Car Washes and Bake Sales can be done on a Saturday or Sunday chosen by the student body and we can all participate and persuade people to help out our school.
Some field trips should not be mandatory and you should let the student body decide. If there is a trip that is going to Six Flags then of course the people that want to go will need to come out of pocket to pay not only for their ticket but for the bus as well , maybe 10 – 15 dollars extra. Also when planning a field trip let the student and parents know in advance so they are aware of when the money is due so that more students can attend and the bus will be taken care of.
Now, you with fundraising and donations coming from different resources around d us, I believe that we will be able to do more things then you expected. When we speak up for what we want we will always get more dreams and goals accomplished. Sticking together is really what it is all about. Once we plan, organize and create we will be more than surprised of what our outcome will be. All it takes is determination and motivation to get us closer to our dreams and we will all get through this together.

Obesity Problems

“Obesity – more than average fatness “ This definition of obesity was found in a local home dictionary. I believe that obesity can be stopped if a person really does not want to put on access weight. When you are overweight you may not be as active in running , walking , jogging , jump roping , and dancing . Obesity can effect social life, your career and health. If you are not fully aware of this problem it can potentially lead to death. Obesity can be found through many different age groups. During this generation there are more obese children and teens than any other generation. You ask why ? Well if you get in your car right now and drive around for five minutes you will most likely see a McDonalds , Burger King , Taco Bell or Carls Jr. Majority of Americans do not cook any more compared to families in the late 1990’s. Things just are not the same any more and it is easy to pick up weight then lose it.

Obesity can also be a reason for suicide. There are some cruel people in the would that would joke and laugh if you are overweight in there eye and make you feel really uncomfortable about yourself . This is one issue that needs to be stopped but is never ending . Peers and family members may talk about you behind your back and that can start trust issues with people . Being obese does not seem like something I would want to be apart of . People always talking about you , being insecure about yourself and having suicidal thoughts. That isn’t a good way to live and enjoy life I don’t think.

Different interest and backgrounds

If growing up in Los Angeles California is all you know and the only place you have been all of your life , do you think that you will have problems adjusting to another city and state if you were to move ? I believe that this question would be answered with YES all across the board by others , think about it . If you were living in Los Angeles all your life and your parents said that you were moving to Inglewood do you think that you would have a positive or negative outlook on the whole city even though you may have not interacted with anyone living in this city or even seen it?

Well just imagine that there is someone else in your shoes and you may meet up with this person one day in Inglewood . Now if you were raised with class and respect and you meet someone who does not carry the same morals or values as you do, do you think that you would quickly become friends with this person? No, that person without a doubt would become an unlikely ally in a matter of minutes after talking to them. It is not easy to adjust to change. Especially if you meet a unwelcoming person along the way, that could be the worst.

In conclusion, growing up in one city and then moving to another could be difficult . Meeting other that have different interests and have been raised in a different background setting is not easy but it can be done.

Outdoor Living

Living outdoors can be defined differently by a variety of people . Depending on the environment that you are located in can put you in different moods. Living in a area by the beach is very relaxing and soothing. In this particular environment you will be able to listen to the ocean, feel the sun on your skin and watch the waves crash against the rocks. This is definitely a place where you want to live if you do not like a lot of noise and people.

On the other hand you could be living in a area where there is nothing but crazy things happening every night , such as , Hollywood . Now do not get me wrong Hollywood has some very nice parts and a lot of movie stars , basketball and football players stay . However , there are some bad parts in the “downtown” area of Hollywood if that’s what you want to call it . Down there you will see nothing but characters yes characters walking along the street harassing you for tips because their job is to be dressed up in a Spider Man costume . But hey , if you enjoy being entertained go ahead and be by guess . Hollywood is definitely the place for you .

Now you are able to compare both of these locations and decide for yourself on where you would like to live . Remember that this is my perspective of these two places so by all means get advice from other peers and family memembers.

The crescent moon cried

If I were a doctor

If I were a doctor I would be a children's doctor because I enjoy helping little kids. My job would consist of checking the children's weight , eye vision and hearing . I do not believe that being a children's doctor for me would be very difficult because I know how to work with kids. In order to do this job I would have to have a positive attitude and a lot of patience because kids do not catch on to things as quick as an adult would .

20 ft tall !

If I were 20 feet tall that would be very difficult . I would have to duck under every door in my house and that would not be very comfortable . Along with that i would have to get a bigger bed because my feet would stick out . Another thing that I would have to adjust to would be my car because it definitely is not built for a 20 foot tall person to get in and out of. In general I do not think that anyone would be able to have a comfortable life being 20feet tall .

Dancing

I believe that I am really good at dancing . I have been dancing ever since I was little but have recently took my dancing career farther . My freshman year I was a member of the ICEF Dance team which consisted of students from local ICEF schools such as View Park , Fredrick Douglass and Lou Dantzler. We performed at different functions and activities such as View Park football games , USC , and the African American museum . I love performing because I am able to express my feelings through movement . Dancing is also a good source of exercise for me and I can't help but to enjoy it.

Invent a Sandwich

The " Nothin but Lovin Sandwich " consist of different combinations of meats and cheese all combined into one . There are three pieces of breads , one at the top , another in the middle and one at the bottom . Mayo and Mustard are carefully speed on each piece of bread. This sandwich also contains lettuce , tomatoes and avocado which is specifically placed between the meet and cheese . Finally when you are done putting all of these items on this loving sandwich you get a tall glass of pink lemonade to go along with it and eat up !

Principal Honor Roll Award

I was so excited my freshman year of high school because I won the Principal Honor Roll award meaning , I achieved a 3.5 or higher g.p.a. To some it may be a petty award but for me it was everything. Since my years in middle school I always told my self that I would carryout a 3.0 or higher throughout high school . Until this day I have kept my word and have over a 3.0 g.p.a

Superpowers

If I had to choose a super power I would like to have invisibility because I would be able to go somewhere and come back without anyone noticing . Or if I do a crime I would be able to escape from it and know one would ever know that I did it. That would be a great power to have , wouldn't you agree?

Afternoon with an extended family member

If I had to have lunch with an extended member of my family it would be my

Aunt Pee Wee on my mothers side of the family .The reason for choosing her

is because I never really get to see her besides on some holidays and it would

be great to talk and hang out with her more often.

Visiting the moon

I would visit the moon under certain circumstances .

If I was in a protected suit that was guaranteed to protect me and had a air space where I was able to breathe. Visiting the moon would be more than a fun experience because you never know what you will see or find up there. At the same time it could be dangerous because you may find something that could be of great danger to your body . In my opinion visiting the moon has it ups and downs .

The Baby Dragon

There once was a baby dragon named Pinky . Pinky was only four years old when she was put into a group home full of other baby dragons. One day they were having an adopt a dragon day and Pinky just knew in her heart that she wouldn't get adopted by any one. Suddenly , there was a knock on her door . " Come in ." she whispered. "Hello!" said an eager couple . Pinky cleared her eyes quickly . "Umm who are you ?" Pink replied . "We are your new parents" " Really ?" "Yes , get your stuff and let's go!" Pinky quickly grabbed her bags and ran out the door following her new parents .

Favorite Season

Summer is my favorite season. During the summer I enjoy going swimming with friends , hanging out at the beach and cookouts with my family. Summertime is the best because the weather is beautiful and everywhere you go there is something to do. Even though it can get really hot it is always nice to chill and stay cool by the pool side with friends.

Game Show

My family and I would go the show game show

Family Feud because the questions are fairly easy and it would

not be hard at all for each one of us to answer the questions correctly.

Another reason why we would go on that game show is because we watch it

all the time , so we al;ready know how it works and everything.

Best thing about my home is ..

The best thing about my home is the peaceful environment that it is in . I enjoy my community and how loveble and helpful the neighbors are. When I am home I feel totally safe and have nothing to really worry about . Inside my home is also peaceful and relaxing . I have a nice fire place that is located in the living room . On cloudy and rainy days I am able to go in and light some wood and just feel the warmness going throughout each room .

If I worked at a football stadium

If I worked at a football stadium I would be a cheerleader. While on the job I would do flips and cheer my team on . On certain occasions I would go in the stands and pick out a person from the audience and have them come down to the field and dance with them or shout out cheers.

Four years ago

Four years ago I was 13. I was not able to hang out with my friends every weekend only on certain occasions. I also was not able to buy rated r movie tickets because I was not 17 . Last but not least I wasn't able to go to certain parties that had older kids there , so I was left going to birthday parties with my cousins that were a little younger than me .

Monkey for a pet

A monkey as a pet would be a disaster . Think about all the food you would have to purchase for a monkey . Not only is food neccessary but where would you keep this particular animal , it may be better for it to stay outside or if you have a shed or garage . This is NO house pet !!
